The Patton Family Times

Things have been going so well since our move. The drive was a long one. We decided to split it between two days and stay at a motel just East of Dallas. Good thing we did! We did not get on the road until 5pm Thursday and arrived at that particular parking spot Julius mentioned in his last post at 3pm Friday. The girls were surprisingly good through the drive and we made it with a fanfare of horn honking at our new home, the JJ Patton Ranch.

We had several days to unload and settle into our new digs. I must say it is a giant step up in life to have our own wing with special babysitters on tap! :) Evelyn has become attached to Grandpa and squeals loudly nearly every time he comes in the door. There are always just those people that a child responds to with enthusiasm, and Jack is the latest in Evelyn's list of fave's.

Julius began work at the Hobby Lobby store on 71st and Mingo, and so far enjoys the atmosphere more than the one in San Antonio. We have new hopes for what this job will be for Julius. We do not know what is in store for us. But as we learned in the church we visited last weekend, LifeChurch.tv, we need not to ask WHY am I here in this place, but WHAT NEXT, LORD? We are renewing our faith in trusting God with a plan for our lives, and are going to try and hear what he wants from us.

Yesterday, Julius and I took our little family to visit the Tulsa Zoo. Janet gifted us with a family year-long membership to the zoo, and I am looking forward to going often! It was a nice first visit, just a few hours in the sun and 80 degree weather, and some time as a family doing something fun. Thanks, My Love, for spending some of your precious day off and taking us all out. :) I love you.
