Evelyn had her two month check up this past Wednesday and all is very well! She is now 23" long and 10 lbs, 15 oz. It is exciting to seehow she has grown in just two months! They also administered her second round of shots. She may have screamed her anger at the nurse, but at least Daddy did not pass out! ;)
The next day, we had an appointment with the orthopedist. She was given an X-ray to determine if her pelvis and leg limbs have grown into the correct places. Boy, she was NOT happy about it. It took awhile to calm her down, but at least the doctor did not mess with her again. He took us through the X-rays and said that her points are where they should be, and we now get to start weaning her off the harness! Praise the Lord!
So, over the next 3 weeks, she will take off the harness for 4 hours, then 8 hours, and then 12 hours a day until she is finally out for good. We are so happy that the Lord has answered our prayers for the continued development of her pelvis that will avoid future problems. THANK YOU!
And thanks to the family and friends who have sent up prayers and thoughts for her as well.
